David Lawrence ... UK theater tour of "The Songs That Won The war "
The show is set in 1939 in the heart of wartime Britain. Featuring “The D Day Darlings” A vocal harmony trio of the era and “Mr John Adams” an actor / director and soldier of war.
The story begins as we hear the declaration of war speech on the wireless and the darlings say goodbye to their life long friend John as he packs up his troubles and goes to fight for his country. Before John goes he see’s an advertisement in the times newspaper from ENSA (The agency providing entertainment to the troops in WW2) and he promises the darlings he will write to ENSA and tell them all about the wonderful D Day Darlings, could this be their big break?
The story is pieced together with a plethora of the most popular and beautiful music of the 1940’s wartime era, featuring songs by: Vera Lynn, Gracie Fields, Bing Crosby, The Andrew Sisters, Frank Sinatra and more. With a series of authentic costume changes to add the authentic 40’s glamour and a dazzling backdrop of original film footage from the era, the show brings the spirit of wartime Britain alive and bring
back fond memories for all.

The Flaming Firemen....Corporate Cabaret...
Two firemen enter your party venue with the Manager or Toastmaster/MC. They walk around a little and point at a few areas which look as though they are examining the venue.Being passed the microphone the Chief Fire Officer tells the guests not to be alarmed but for health and safety reasons this is a random spot check and they will not take long and he is so sorry to interrupt their night out!
The Fire Officer then decides that the fire-fighter with him will explain a little about fire safety and leaves to investigate the kitchen area.
The fire fighter starts to inform the audience about venue
fire safety but acknowledging that he at last has an audience he
wants to fulfil a long term ambition as a singer.He then goes into
song much to the amazement of the audience.
Then realising this is happening is joined by the Fire Chief and they
go into their routine together.Finally, an unsuspecting guest
gets a surprise song from the lady guest beside him.
